The mpeg3 (files with the .mp3 extension) files can be played by several applications while the file is being downloaded. The Windows native Media Player (Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment->Windows Media Player) is the easiest to use in the windows environment. The latest free version can be downloaded from Microsoft. Apple.com has a QuickTime for Windows available for free.
For the Mac environment, iTunes for OS-X and for Mac OS 9 and QuickTime for both OS-X and OS 8/9 may be used. Microsoft has versions of Media Player for both OS-X and Mac OS 8/9 available for download. Real.com's Real Player also plays mpeg3 files. Real charges for some of its versions. Please make sure that you download the free version.

When available, these slides are made available in various formats ( slides may not appear in all formats ). Web browser slides are viewable directly by the web browser you are currently using, but the pictures may look more granular than those in other formats. PDF formatted documents are viewable using Adobe Acrobat Reader. PowerPoint slides are viewable using Microsoft's PowerPoint or free PowerPoint Viewer 97 for Windows (Win-2000, Win-98, Win-ME, Win-NT, Win-XP).
