Holy Cross is an emerging church in the northern San Diego County coastal area. We are in a vital and growing community with people from all parts of the world. We bring a unique set of values and strengths to the area. These values and strengths may make us the right church for you and your family. Please read some of the ways in which Holy Cross distinguishes itself in terms of who we are, what we believe, and how we live out what we believe.

At Holy Cross we value community. Community isn't just a nice add-on. It is who we are as a church. We believe that the real blessings of any faith journey are found in and through our relationships with one another. Jesus Christ promised that when two or three gather in his name he would be among them. We have found him good to his Word. We find him here among us in our family of faith.

As a church we emphasize the fullness of the journey of faith. Our worship shows that we love a lively study and discussion of the Word, but that we also know that any encounter with God must also include a humble silence before the mystery and awesome scaredness of God. We celebrate the power of God in our lives with praise and thanksgiving, but we also recognize our shortcomings and are moved to repent, to forgive, and to seek forgiveness as part of the journey.

We believe that it is God's will that this journey be lived out in community together, encouraging one another and bearing one another's burdens. We believe that all people are called to be ministers and to serve God, His Church, and the community in which they live. We believe that we are called to love all people and to share with them the life-giving and life-changing good news of the love of God in Jesus Christ.
